YES Academy embraces three winter disciplines: skiing, snowboarding, and telemark. Did you know that we are the result of the merger between a skiing school and a snowboarding school? We have created a unified entity to fully explore and embrace the world of winter sports.
Despite their technical differences, these three sports actually share a deep affinity and constantly influence one another. What truly makes them similar is the people who practice them: each of us finds his/her own way to express emotions and style through these sports, whether it’s carving down the slopes, embarking on exciting off-piste adventures, or hitting the snowpark for some tricks. Skiers, snowboarders, and telemarkers all share the same primary goal: having fun on the snow, regardless of the equipment used, and sharing these moments with others.
However differences do emerge when you examine the equipment and specific techniques. Skiers seek speed on the slopes, while snowboarders maintain a moderate speed, combining carving with tricks and stance changes. Telemark skiing, on the other hand, offers a unique blend of speed and agility. In off-piste terrain, all three sports converge in the quest for the best line, combining excitement and aesthetics. Even in the snowpark, these “cultural differences” come together, although the distinct riding positions can either simplify or challenge the obstacles.
Remember, there’s no one discipline better than the others. It all depends on who you ask and, most importantly, what makes your heart race.

OUR TEAM OF INSTRUCTORS
A school and a big family
The staff is made up of ski, snowboard and telemark instructors. Among us there are federal coaches, instructors specialised in teaching people with disabilities and a national snowboard instructor.
We are former athletes, university students, recent graduates, mums, dads … we are friends who share their love for mountains and snow. YES Academy is a meeting point, a place where you can catch up with new friends and exchange tips on which equipment to choose, how to take care of it… or simply relax at the end of the day.
Giulia, our super secretary, will follow and advise you throughout the whole process of booking lessons. Here at YES Academy, we believe it’s essential to consider both the learner’s and instructor’s abilities. Giulia will match you with the instructor that best suits what you want to achieve during the lesson, ensuring a personalized experience. We are here to inspire and guide you on an extraordinary snow adventure!
