Kids’ group lessons

Three hours a day in groups of 3 to 8, matched by age, level and discipline.

Courses over several days for children and teenagers aged 6 to 13-14 who already have some time on snow behind them. Small groups, and one instructor who stays with the group for the whole course, so your child always knows who they’re skiing with.

A complete beginner starts with a private lesson: the groups are for kids who already have some experience behind them. See our private lessons.

To work out which group your child goes into, take a look at the Level page. In Sestriere all season? We also run season-long courses for local families: those pages are in Italian only, so just ask the office.

The rules of our courses are in the Terms and conditions.

Abbiamo fatto lezione di snowboard con Claudio! Dopo sole due ore i miei figli erano nel pieno comfort e prendevano il tapis roulant più lungo. Consigliatissimo!

Small groups, the same instructor

  • 3 to 8 children

Small groups, matched by age and level: every child gets the attention they need to get better.

  • One discipline per group

Each group is either skiing or snowboarding, never the two together.

  • The same instructor

The group keeps its instructor for the whole course: no new faces every morning.

  • With siblings and friends

When you book, tell us who your child would like to be with: that works, as long as they’re at the same level.

Three hours a day

What they learn

In beginner groups they build their independence and the basics of technique.

In advanced groups they work on technique and explore the Vialattea ski area.

How to sign up

Sign-up doesn’t happen online: it goes through the office, so your child ends up in the right group.

  1. Message us

On WhatsApp, by email or on the phone: tell us their age, level, discipline and the dates of the course.

  2. We find the group

We check availability and the level of the group, and we tell you which lift pass to buy.

  3. You confirm the place

For a course over several days a 50% deposit and the form are enough; the balance by the start of the course.

  4. First morning at the Tappeto Jolly

Get there a little early: if the parent is relaxed, the child is too.

Good to know

The rules that matter most. The full set is in our terms and conditions.

  • Minimum 3 people

If the group doesn’t come together, we let you know 72 hours ahead and offer an alternative of the same value: another date, a different length or a private lesson. If that doesn’t work for you, we refund you in full.

  • Cancellation

Up to 72 hours before the course starts, with 10% retained. Once the course has started, days missed aren’t refunded.

  • Running late

If you arrive late, your child joins the group at a point agreed with the instructor, so the others aren’t kept waiting.

  • End of the lesson

A parent or guardian has to be there on time at the end: the instructor can’t leave a child on their own.

  • Weather

We ski in any weather: a lesson is only cancelled and refunded if the lifts close.

What’s not included

  • The lift pass: for group courses, ask the office which one to buy
  • Insurance: third-party liability cover is compulsory by law and you can buy it with your lift pass

What to bring

  • A helmet, compulsory by law: without one, the instructor can’t take your child on the lesson
  • Warm, waterproof clothing, skis or a board, and boots in the right size
  • A snack in a pocket, to keep their energy up during the lesson

Meeting point

Tappeto Jolly magic carpet

No exceptions: the courses start and finish at the bottom of the magic carpet, at the foot of the Sestriere lifts.
