Cookie policy

This English text is a translation of our Italian cookie policy, here to help you read it. If the two versions differ, the Italian one is the binding text.

A cookie is a small text file that a site saves in the browser of the person visiting it. Here are the ones used by the YES Academy website: there are few of them, and the statistics ones arrive only if you accept them.

If you are visiting the site

The pages of this site use no profiling or advertising cookies. They use a single statistics service, Google Analytics, and only if you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit (see below).

Without cookies, in your browser’s storage the site remembers two choices: the light or dark theme (yes-tema) and your answer to the cookie banner (yes-consenso, for six months). They stay on your device and are not sent to anyone.

Fonts, photos and videos come from the site itself, with no requests to other services.

If you manage the content

Only the people who log into the site’s admin panel, that is the school’s staff, receive technical cookies, which are needed to make it work:

• payload-token: keeps you logged into the admin panel. It expires after 8 hours, or when you log out.
• payload-theme and payload-lng: remember the appearance and the language chosen in the panel.
• __prerender_bypass: is set only while the staff are previewing a draft, and is removed when they leave the preview.

External services

Some buttons take you to other people’s services, which have their own rules about cookies:

• The map: on the Contact page the map loads only when you ask for it with the button. From that moment the map provider (Google Maps or OpenStreetMap) receives the request and may save its own cookies.
• Booking and gift vouchers: these happen on Bee Bee Board, an external site with its own privacy notice.
• WhatsApp: the button opens a chat on WhatsApp, outside this site.

Statistics: Google Analytics

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are most useful, in aggregate. The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited. We have switched off advertising, ad personalisation and Google Signals: the data is not used to profile you. Google Analytics saves two cookies:

• _ga: tells visitors apart with a random code, without knowing who they are. It lasts 2 years.
• _ga_NMCZQCLGBJ: keeps the state of the visit. It lasts 2 years.

Google may also process this data in the United States; Google takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/privacy.

If you decline, or close the banner with the X, Google Analytics does not start and no statistics cookie is saved. You can change your mind at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw your consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.

How to manage cookies

As well as the “Cookie preferences” link, your browser settings let you see, delete and block cookies: the pages of the site carry on working, the admin panel does not.
